Upazila Cooperative Office, Lohagara, Chittagong has achieved significant success in the past 03 years in terms of maintaining the continuity of the work of the Cooperative Directorate in order to make the cooperative development oriented and sustainable as well as preparing the foundation to face future challenges. Through the innovative practices of the officials, to facilitate the citizen service, to make the cooperative an organization of more people and to improve its quality, with the aim of providing the service easily and quickly, the official activities of this office have been completed in 100% e-document system, and through the cooperative organization, it has been able to create self-employment. A total of 13 cooperative societies have been formed in the last three financial years and 300 people have been newly enrolled in cooperatives. In 2019-20 73, 2020-21 67 and 2021-22 71 effective cooperative societies have been audited. Audit fee and VAT Tk 106,986/-, Registration fee and VAT Tk 4,485/- and Cooperative Development Fund (CDF) Tk 37,880/- have been duly paid. 350 cooperatives have been imparted mobile training through district mobile teams for building sustainable cooperatives. To improve the skills of 10 cooperatives and 10 officials/employees at Bangladesh Cooperative Academy, Kotbari, Comilla and Regional Cooperative Education, Fenite and District Cooperative Office, Chittagong to provide advanced training in Income Enhancement (IGA) to 00 cooperatives to make them self-reliant. has been 00 people (male/female) have been self-employed through demand based training and providing loans. Also, under the shelter scheme of the Hon'ble Prime Minister's Office, Tk. 00/- has been distributed among the resettled families and Tk. 207,485/- loan installments have been collected.
